Career Planning

The Admissions staff at DeKalb Technical College is available to assist prospective students in planning from the many program options available or appropriate course of study. Typical questions asked are about academic requirements for various programs, nature of the program, working conditions, job opportunities, salaries, test requirements, class scheduling, and financial aid. Career guidance is also offered through the Office of Career and Job Search Services. Individuals may take a standardized assessment battery to identify their individual interests, aptitudes, and work-related values. Opportunities are offered to discuss and explore sources of information about specific careers.
