COLLEGE WITHDRAWAL
When a student withdraws from all courses, the student is considered
to be withdrawn from the College. Students who are contemplating withdrawal
should confer with an Admissions Specialist. If a decision to withdraw
is made, the official Withdrawal Form should be completed. The official
date of withdrawal will be the date the Withdrawal Form is transacted
in the Registrar's Office. Student-initiated course withdrawal policies
are also applicable to school withdrawals. Refunds, if any, will be
made according to the refund schedule published in the quarterly Schedule
of Classes.
FINANCE RELATED WITHDRAWAL
All students are expected to meet financial obligations to DeKalb Technical College.
Those who fail to do so will be withdrawn from school and will not be
readmitted until satisfactory arrangements have been completed with
the Registrar's Office. Students withdrawn because of failure to pay
fees and checks for insufficient funds will receive a "W"
or "WF" for all class work attempted, consistent with student-initiated
withdrawal procedures listed above during the quarter in which withdrawal
action is taken. A "Business Office Hold" will be placed on
the student record and the student will be notified of the hold. DeKalb
Tech reserves the right to refer to delinquent student accounts, including
bad checks, to a collection or legal agency. The student will be assessed
any additional charges for collection of the account and/or bad check.
