III. K.  DeKalb Technical College

Employment of Relatives

It is the position of the DeKalb Technical College that relatives of current College employees may only be employed consistent with the provisions the Technical College System of Georgia Board Policy.  Specific provisions for DTC employees are as follows:

GENERAL PROVISIONS

  1. Effective 12/14/2005, no two relatives shall be employed within the same instructional program, office, project, or work unit at DeKalb Technical College without written justification and approval by the President.
  2. Relatives of the President, Vice President of Student Affairs, Vice President of Business and Finance, or Vice President of Administration shall not be employed with the college.

POLICY ENFORCEMENT

The President, Vice Presidents, and all college administrators in consultation with the college’s Director of the Office of Human Resources are fully responsible for ensuring that the provisions of this policy are not violated.
