Transfer of Leave from Other State Entities

A maximum of 45 days (360 hours) of annual leave will be accepted for a new employee transferring to DeKalb Technical College from another State agency or Board of Regents College.

A maximum of 90 days (720 hours) of sick leave and three days (24 hours) of personal leave will be accepted for a new employee transferring to DeKalb Technical College from another State agency or Board of Regents College.  Any record of forfeited leave shall also be accepted by the receiving agency, but the leave shall not be restored to the employee except in cases of illness or disability.

A maximum of 45 days (360 hours) of sick leave only may be accepted for a new employee coming from a local board of education where the individual was employed full-time in the field of technical or adult literacy education.  In order for sick leave to be credited, the employee must agree not to leave employment with DeKalb Technical College voluntarily for a period of one year.

Leave (annual, sick, and personal) from all other employers is non-transferable.  Compensatory time and FLSA time earned in another agency will not be accepted for transfer in to DTC.
