                Admission of Students

APPLICATION

 

Admissions is a process which requires students to complete an application, which includes selecting a program of study; submit official documents of previous education; and complete placement testing or deliver appropriate test scores. Students who wish to change their program of study after enrollment must make an appointment with an Admissions/Student Affairs Specialist in the Admissions Office.

ADVISEMENT

 

Academic and Program Advisors at DeKalb Tech insure that students pursue their educational and career objectives efficiently and effectively. Academic Advisors assist new students by giving advice of courses to be enroll in during the student’s first quarter on enrollment at DeKalb Tech. Program Advisors are faculty members who are assigned by department, are most knowledgeable about student progression in a given program of study, and who help students select appropriate courses.   Student Affairs Specialists who recruit and assist students in program entry and program changes.
