Black History Awakened by Performances at DeKalb Technical College
Students and faculty enjoyed two performances of a Black History Month program, “An Awakening,” performed by Samuel O. Williams and company. The moving performances evoked ancestral connections through music, dance, and drama.

Local professional artist and writer, Samuel O. Williams, brought the performances to life at both the Covington and Clarkston campuses of DeKalb Technical College. Faculty and staff including James Johnson, Keith Sagers, Terry Richardson, and Larry Johnson brought their thespian talents to the stage as the audiences were swept away by their ability to bring to life “An Awakening.”
