DeKalb Tech partners to host “Fathers and Families” Job Fair
DeKalb Technical College is partnering with several local organizations to host a "Fathers and Families" Job Fair on Thursday, March 20, 2008. The job fair will be held at DeKalb Tech's new Conference Center located at 495N. Indian Creek Drive in Clarkston, GA 30021. The job fair is open from 12:00 noon until 4:00 p.m. for special population job seekers and for the community at-large from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
The Office of Child Support Services is sponsoring the job fair to assist non-custodial parents to obtain employment, so that they will be able to support their families financially. Employers are encouraged to participate in this focused job fair as this special population needs an opportunity to connect with viable jobs that will offer stability and a chance to use and/or develop their skills. Job fair partners endeavor to strengthen the community and local companies.
This job fair will be open to DeKalb Tech's students as well as to the community at-large beginning at 2:00 p.m. There is no fee for participating in the job fair. Job fair partners include the Office of Child Support Services; Georgia Fatherhood Program; DeKalb Fatherhood Initiative Network; Department of Pardons and Parole; DeKalb Workforce Development Department; Department of Family and Children Services; and DeKalb Technical College.
