Phi Theta Kappa Brings Home Honors to DeKalb Technical College
The Beta Delta Beta Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) represented DeKalb Technical College the last weekend of February at the Phi Theta Kappa Regional Conference at Dalton State College in Dalton, Georgia. The Chapter was elected the Regional Vice Presidential Chapter to represent the Georgia Region, as well as plan and host the 2008 Phi Theta Kappa Regional Fall Leadership Conference on the DeKalb Technical College Renaissance Campus in Clarkston.
The Chapter received the Five-Star Program award for their completion of the “Two Star Level” chapter involvement on the local, regional and international levels. Student Toni Hall received the Sarah Ann Staples certificate of recognition for her distinguished achievements in Regional Programs. PTK Advisor Pat Lewis received the Advisor Horizon Award for Distinguished Service and the Chapter’s continued participation on the local, regional and international levels. Ms. Lewis was also appointed to the 2008 Regional Advisory Committee.
The Chapter will represent the Georgia Region as the Vice Presidential Chapter at the PTK International Conference in April and has submitted Chapter accomplishments in the competitive Hallmark Awards. Winners will be announced at the International Conference.
