DeKalb Technical College GOAL Winner Honored at Lithonia Parade

The much needed rain did not spoil the parade where Natalie Smith, 2007 DeKalb Technical College winner of the coveted, Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership (GOAL), was a Guest of Honor in the Summer Fest Parade and Festival in Lithonia, GA, held this Spring.

Ms. Smith will represent DeKalb Technical College for one year as the GOAL winner.  “Natalie was chosen by a selection committee of individuals from the community’s business, civic and industry leaders following a series of interviews and evaluations,” said Amanda Taylor, Dean of Student Services and coordinator for the college GOAL program.
