Distance Learning or online learning is a convenient alternative to traditional classes. Distance Learning courses are no different from traditional courses taught on campus, and there are ample provisions to electronically interact with the instructor. Students choosing distance learning should be well organized and have a basic understanding of computer functions. Among the tasks students are expected to perform are:
- Corresponding with the Internet Service Provider about technical support
- Responding to email
- Uploading files and viewing those from the instructor
- Participating in online chat rooms
- Searching Web Sites
Enrollment in online courses has minimum hardware and software requirements, and the Coordinator of Distance Learning can be reached at (770) 786-9522 ext. 5006.
