Parking Regulations

Since many students drive motor vehicles to DeKalb Technical College, caution and cooperation must be exercised on all campuses, particularly in parking.  ALL VEHICLES MUST BE REGISTERED and display a valid DeKalb Technical College parking permit.  This permit MUST be affixed to the left rear bumper or window of the vehicle.  All permits must be renewed each fall quarter. Students are expected to park in designated parking spaces.

The registration of vehicles, parking regulations, and the observance of reserved spaces must be adhered to at all times.  Parking fines will be issued to students who do not comply with the rules and regulations as outlined below.  No vehicle is to be left on campus after school hours without a special permit.  DeKalb Tech is not liable for damage to vehicles parked on campus.

Vehicle Registration
New students must register their vehicles and receive a parking permit on Registration day.

Student Parking
Clarkston Campus students are permitted to park in Lot 4 which is accessible from Memorial Drive and located on the East side of the campus behind Buildings B, C, and D.  Students may also park in the small lot to the South of D Building.  The lots to the North of A & B Buildings are reserved for faculty and staff at all times.

Covington Campus students are permitted to park in the front of Building B and Building C, and designated parking is available at the Newton Center.

Procedures and Explanations
A. Parking regulations are in effect twenty-four hours a day throughout the calendar year.
B. Temporary permits and visitor permits for Clarkston Campus should be obtained upon arrival on campus from the Information Center. A student may receive a temporary permit for up to three (3) days if they have to drive a vehicle that is not registered with DeKalb Tech. A second decal may be purchased for $5.00.
C. Payment of fines is received in the Business Office during normal business hours within 7 days of the date of the violation or mailed to the Business Office. Failure to pay a fine will result in a Parking Fine "Hold." Student grades, subsequent registration, and diplomas will be held until all fines are paid.
