Business Office Technology

Overview
The Management and Supervisory Development programs are designed to prepare experienced workers the ability to advance and those new to the field for entry level occupations in a variety of business and industries.  MSD programs provide learning opportunities that introduce, develop, and reinforce academic and occupational knowledge, skills and attitudes required for job acquisition, retention, and advancement.  Students have a choice of a concentration in General Management, Mining Management, Management in Banking and Finance, Human Resource Management, Supervisory Development, Service Sector Management, and Management Leadership.

What To Expect
Classes are a blend of lectures, case studies, discussions, and occupational based instruction.  To better prepare the student for the management environment most classes require student presentations applicable to the course material.  By limiting the enrolment for each class, students have an opportunity for active participation and access to the Instructors.  Students can select any combination of day, evening, web-enhance, or online classes to accommodate those who require a flexible schedule.

Mr. Corsover has many years if experience in Management and Supervisory Development with and emphasis on Human Resource Law.  Prior to his 15 years of teaching expertise he was the Human Resource Manager for a major international corporation.  He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management.

Internships (Occupational Based Training)
All MSD students will be required to take an internship as part of their program.  This will give the opportunity to gain experience as well as establish industry contacts.

Employment Opportunities
The salary range is wide due to the many specializations in the field of management.  The average salaries for graduates placed in field is between $25,000 and $32,000.
