Construction Report -Phase 2 Update

Would you believe that close-out and punch-list were items discussed this past Wednesday during the biweekly construction meeting?  That means only one thing—the end to our construction projects are on schedule and a little under budget.  Yes, August 31, 2007 will be here shortly, and what a wonderful day it will be when the ownership and keys are turned over to DeKalb Tech.

The roofing material is on and window placement is in progress.  The buildings will be closed up and the HAVC systems will be turned on in the very near future.  As soon as the buildings are weatherproofed, the interior finishing items, which are sensitive to humidity, will be installed.

One item which has been delayed numerous times is the tapping onto the county water lines.   Since the tapping will occur on the road right-of-way, permits are required.  After the tapping, the charging of the fire sprinkler system will take place.  This must occur before the wall and ceiling materials are installed so that leaks (if any) can be addressed.
