Steps to Apply for Benefits
- Request the appropriate application from
Financial Aid.
- Attach a copy of your DD-214 to the application.
- Register and pay for your classes. The VA will reimburse you based
on your eligibility. Enrollment certifications will be sent in after
the institution's drop-add period.
It is the student's responsibility
to provide the Financial Aid Office a copy of their quarterly invoice.
Federal
Pell Grant Recipients
If you are eligible for a Federal Pell Grant and are enrolled in
a degree (AAT) program, your Federal Pell Grant will be based on the
credit hours for which you enroll. A full time student has 12 hours
or more while a three quarter time student has between 9 and 11 hours.
A half time student has between 6 and 8 hours and a less than half
time student is 5 hours and less. If you are enrolled in a diploma
program each of your classes will be converted to federal credits.
For more information on how your classes convert contact the Financial
Aid Office at your campus. If you are enrolled in a certificate program,
you will not be eligible for a Federal Pell Grant.
