Georgia Fatherhood Program

The Georgia Fatherhood Program (GFP) was originated by the Georgia Department of Human Resources, Child Support Enforcement section (CSE) to serve non-custodial parents. Partnering agencies include the Department of Labor, the Department of Pardons and Paroles, and the Department of Technical and Adult Education.

Through the successful development and implementation of a strong statewide delivery model, GFP has reduced the cost experienced by the state Child Support Enforcement court as well as incarceration cost by preventing, facilitating, or resolving child support enforcement cases.

GFP students receive services that include assessment, classroom activities, workshops, adult basic education, job skills training, and job placement. In addition, GFP students complete Life Management Skills classes such as Raising Fathers/Raising Children, Smart Parenting, and Survival Skills for Men.
